My husband and I had never heard of quinoa. But we're on the anti-candida diet, and were looking for foods we could eat that would taste good without feeding Candida. That's how we found this cookbook. We've added some of the recipes to our list of foods we'll eat, even after we're free of Candida and have finished the diet.
Quinoa is a such a great food. I had only had a couple really good recipes prior to this book, now I have many more ideas and ways to get the great nutrients quinoa has to offer. Soo excited!
I didn't give this 5 stars because the first recipe I tried was so-so. I haven't had the chance to try others, but they do look good and easy to make necessary personal changes if needed. So, I do think this is a keeper, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for new healthy recipes.
I cannot believe that I'm the first to review this book because it is absolutely packed with really great recipes. Whether you're a vegan, vegetarian or not, this book has several recipes that I'm sure you'll just love. My personal favorite is Quinoa with Garlic and Parmesan Cheese. Yum! Can't wait to try to them all!
I hate quinoa, but my wife decided we are on an ancient grain diet. I needed to find a way to cook quinoa, bulgur and spelt so I can actually enjoy a meal. This book showed me how make quinoa palatable. I'm still sneaking out for burgers, and going to the Thai restaurant for lunch, but at home I am cooking some tasty meals like a quinoa pro.
